Gary, a Squadron Warrant Officer at RAF Lossiemouth was diagnosed with stage 4 Oesophageal cancer in July 2020 and after a family stay in Abbie’s Sparkle Lodge, he decided to set up a Fundraiser encouraging others to do daily exercise to keep fit while he was on his treatment journey. He wants to spread the word about Functional Fitness and how that can help in all aspects of life. During that time his followers, who are all around the world, have come up with ways to boost his amazing total, with exercise classes, fantastic online raffles, Rugbyglue t shirts and a 6 Nations Rugby Predictions event. His friends and colleagues at RAF Lossiemouth have been right behind him, with the RAF Rugby Team, The Owls even taking on Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation as their charity of the year. Gary’s online fundraising page stands at an incredible £27,090. We can’t thank him enough for taking Abbie’s Sparkle on his journey, such motivation, commitment and inspiration. It’s clear he is much loved by his team of supporters.
Best wishes from Team Sparkle and well done for everything you are doing to help Children affected by cancer.
