One of our biggest highlights of 2019 was our own team of 4 reaching Kilimanjaro. On the 25th of October, after 8 days of arduous trekking they completed their ascent of 5895m. At times the Team thought they might not make it, but they kept Abbie in their hearts and minds and that pushed them on when times got tough. During the year they held their own events to support their fundraising, they had a very successful Spring Fair, a fantastic family Ceilidh and a very Sparkly Prosecco day. Their efforts and their achievement saw them raise an amazing total of £19,376. Taking Abbie’s beautiful banner to brighten up the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, is something they will never forget.
